  • Today we are writing a cold task for our new English unit - Instructions.
  • Have you ever written or followed a set of instructions before? Can you remember any of the writing features you included to make them easy for the reader to understand? 
  • Now, have a go at writing a set of instructions about 'How to make the perfect sandwich'.

Isolating at home can make it tricky to do exercise, give these indoor games a go to keep moving!

We are still working on factor pairs today. If you manage to complete all of the work for factor pairs, have a go at this challenge: True or false? 7 × 6 = 7 × 3 × 2 7 × 6 = 7 × 3 + 3 Explain your reasoning. Can you write the number 30 as the product of 3 numbers? Can you do it in different ways?




English

Spend some time editing and improving your build up and dilemma paragraphs. Begin to write the resolution and ending paragraphs of your portal story. Remember the everyday toolkit features as well as the features we have learned for this unit- semi colons, brackets, ellipsis, suffix ed. etc.

Computing

Today you need to plan a podcast. Write down what you would like to include and a script. Remember to include an intro- who you are and what you will be talking about, the main section and an outro- thanking your listeners. Can you include some sound effects to make your podcast more interesting?

  • Remind yourself of our model text 'The Museum'.
  • Now use your boxed-up planning sheet to remind yourself of your plan. 
  • Remember to pay close attention to the key details of the paragraph. 
  • Remember our everyday toolkit features- capital letters, full stops, spellings, correct grammar and punctuation.


Computing


Today we are recording our audio onto the Audacity software. If you cannot access Audacity (free app) you could record audio onto any device and practice recording, pausing, saving, playing back and even editing if you feel confident. Today, your audio can be about anything you choose.
